Take It Or Leave It

Written By Glenn McCrary & Riley
They judge us, bark harsh words,
throw objects, but we remain standing
They should let us be as free as the birds
instead of bringing us down crash landing

We sleep together, like normal couples do.
We look into each others eyes saying 'I love you.'
Why is that so wrong in the eyes of others
why should we have to lie or stay undercover

We shouldn't hide from this hatred,
lets step out and be strong
They say that life’s what we make it
lets show these people we belong

Forget all the judgements focus on you and your partner.
ignore the fear show them the bond can’t be broken
Actions speak much louder than words
better to act now than to be soft spoken

Shout back by showing what love really is
instead of observing from the sidelines
Don’t follow the crowd be a leader
Create your own set of guidelines

Woman and Woman
Man and Man
We’re all equal
Why’s that so hard to understand?

Once Was Love, Now Is Lost

Written By Riley & Glenn McCrary

We looked into each others eyes with love and passion.
it seemed that nothing would break us apart.
We fit; we matched, like the stars in the night sky.

As time continued to pass us by I became more and more mesmerized
by the beauty that burned like a fire in your eyes.

I wanted to dance like a child in the flames
because the pain felt so good; so good that i wanted it to last forever
You said the things I had never heard. Those things made my heart blossom just like a rose.
You showed me love, and blindly I fell for it.

We were both free falling together landing in a bed made of the clouds in the sky just floating alone together deep into the night.
It felt like magic; You made me feel like I was invincible like I could do anything when I was with you.
Your voice was the music in my ears that kept me happy , but now, we never speak, similar to a cold, hard stone.

Confusion with your emotions, gave me a whiplash of your actions and words.
I believed in everything you did and said, because I thought it was love.

but little did I know those three words manipulated me into thinking that you were the one.
the one that I could count on,
the one that I could run to when there was nowhere else to turn,
my island of paradise,
but this isn't paradise anymore.
I don't know what this is.
it feels like a prison holding my heart hostage
and I've been waiting thinking that you would come to bail me out but I'm still stuck here all alone where you left me.
In this dark hole of sadness. I held my hand out for you to save me, but you never came.
Why haven’t you grabbed my hand yet?
Don't you care anymore?

Love Will Kill You

Written By Riley & Glenn McCrary

She sits in the bathtub staring at the still water. For the first time, She was not thinking of anything that could possibly stab her in the heart.

As she continued to sit in the comfort of the warm water
she was calm. The soothing feeling of the water had given her peace of mind.

No type of weapon could pierce her skin because she had become shielded from everything around her.

As she sat there with a cigarette in her hand, she flicked off the ashes, that represented her troubled past.

With every puff of smoke that she inhaled it was as if she was burning all of her troubles away with no worries or regrets as to what will happen in the future for she has left her past behind.

She gets out of the tub and looks at her naked reflection glancing at trails of the scars on her body. the memories slowly returned. She looked into her own eyes and with rage, she damaged the mirror in one, hard hit.

Within that one punch her anger quickly subsided as she glanced down at her fist. She slowly unclenched it to find that her hand was bleeding due to the glass shards that preoccupied the cracks between her knuckles.

She slowly kneeled into a corner and held her hand close to her chest looking at the many shards lying across the floor and asked herself, 'Why am I here? I only make things worse.'

Tears began to flow down her cheeks as she picked up one of the shards and dragged it across her skin; just another scar to add to her collection. She lied down on the floor, looking toward the door to see if anyone would show, if anyone would care, but no one showed. No one cared.
So she continued sliding the shard of glass across her flesh pressing deeper with each cut. The river of blood was as warm as the tears streaming down her cheeks she felt like this was her only heaven a place that she could call home.
She sat there and basked in her sorrows not caring for anything but what was surrounding her
then she decided to take another shard and spell out something foul across her arm. She carved the letters F-U-C-K- Y-O-U in blood across her arm.
She hoped when he had found her dismantled body, he finally got what took so long for him to get.
She whispered 'Goodbye'
And cut her throat with the same shard
As she slowly glided the shard against her throat, the memories came fast paced and then the memories were no longer there. Her mind became pitch black.
Now, she didn’t have to think of anything anymore.
She didn’t have to think about what was slowly killing her, what was slowly taking over her heart.
She didn’t have to feel that pain. She was finally free.

Bleeding Angel

Written By Glenn McCrary & Riley

As I lie in my bed, I think of nothing but feeling happy. When I got my morning coffee, smelling the delicious aroma, I remember the one thing that I tried to forget. The one thing that hit my heart, hit my heart as if a brick had been dropped on it.
Crushing it causing my heart to bleed to levels of the extreme
I felt like I had lost everything that I had ever wanted
The spell that had been cast upon me was now starting to fade away.

I wanted to scream, scream till my heart had nothing to scream about. I tried so hard not to cry, even though I had no more tears to shed. They would just become empty tears of something that would slip away from me.
Slipping so fast as if my tears were sand grains in an hour glass dissolving over time.
Oh I wish I could rewind back to a happier time when our romance was just starting to blossom like roses.
How I would give anything just to go back to that moment
Those were the happiest moments of my life and now you’ve left me behind in this harsh, cold world without saying goodbye. I wish you could just come hold me and kiss me one last time, to reassure me that everything will be alright, but I know it won't, no matter how many sweet lies you tell me. It won't be alright. Cause I won't be with you. You are the key to my happiness only you can unlock the treasures of my heart.
Without it I'm just another hopeless romantic, just waiting for the right one to come along.

My One True Love

Written By Glenn McCrary & Riley

Your smile was a symbol of Heaven
Whenever it was revealed
You were my lucky number seven
All of my wounds you healed

Images of you
put a smile on my face,
And warms my tender heart.
An image I can’t erase.

Words can't even describe
The way that you make me feel
With you I felt so alive
I'd never felt something so real

You’re always on my mind,
Every day and every night.
How I wish I could rewind,
To when everything was right

Someone like you
I could never ever replace
Even if I tried to
It’d all be just a waste

Because you’re one of a kind,
You bring out the light in my eyes.
Girls like you, are hard to find,
Finding you was my ultimate prize.

I wish you could feel my heart beating
Full of undeniable love and truth
I wish you could feel me breathing
Every breath your memory soothes

Oh how I wish that your beautiful
brown eyes could see
That our hearts were made for each other
Maybe it was meant to be

But still I will always love you
No matter where my heart will lead
In my world no one's above you
You are all that I need

Autumn's Kiss

Along the alley of a library

At the peak of Autumn's kiss

A yearning desire arose

Upon a gem that grazed my vision

A delightful scent tickled my nostrils

Lightly brushing my new found infatuation

With just a minor hint of splendour

The vibrant fashion sense of nature

Spoke to me in sacred languages

As bright as the collapsing leaves

Were the colors conquering her body

Reflecting a tone of enigma

Her skin resembling

A sweet, golden delight

All respiration had paused

She knew...

Light Year Qualms

Life my darling life

Won't you please return to

Your aura of happiness?

My psyche chases the memories

When a smile was as valuable

As the generous lips of sunshine

Life my darling life

The taste of your kiss has long faded

Far into the sacred valley of oblivion

The whereabouts of your charming grace

I oh so desperately seek.

Distraught our lives dwindle

Desolate we've been forsaken

With the mere taste of happiness

A billion light years away

Life my darling life

Luck shall not hath slain us

Lest our fingers cease

To caress the purpose

Of our existence
